Sergio Gutierrez
I am a physicist by training. I studied light: entangled photons in Bogotá, then machine learning on optical fibre in Lund. Since 2020 I have worked at Ericsson, from digital pre-distortion and ASICs to leading 6G prototypes. In my own time I build software tools and small devices, and write down what I learn.

01 What I learned where
Physics
Curiosity, and order: a clear concept, a careful attempt, an honest assessment, then another try. In the lab you can see the light, put a crystal in the beam and measure what comes out with your own hands.
Industry
Execution: holding a technical intent for years and getting it into silicon, through work packages, people, measurements, supply and budget. At work I orchestrate rather than build alone.
My own time
Building by hand again: software tools, small devices and machine-learning experiments.
